Hurricane Eyes is the seventh studio album by Japanese heavy metal band Loudness. It was released in 1987 worldwide with standard English lyrics. A "Japanese Version" was subsequently released only in Japan later in the year with Niihara singing most of the lyrics in Japanese.

Loudness was a Japanese hard rock quartet that had numerous hit albums in the 80's and early 90's. Hurricane Eyes hit the Billboard charts in 1987. Exclusive discount for Prime members. Sample this album Artist (Sample). Hurricane Eyes could have been a great album. The music is there, but the bad sound and akward vocals bring this down a few notches. It does not compare to Thunder in the east, (The underrated) lightning strikes, or even Soldier of fortune.
Though it failed to equal the mostly novelty-based sales of Loudness' first internationally distributed album Thunder in the East, Lightning Strikes had handily managed to translate the band's Japanese-bred heavy metal into a more easily digestible recipe for Western audiences. Because this progress didn't translate into sales, however, their record company, Atco, felt the need to force the band's hand toward an even more pop-metal direction when it came time to record their next effort
