The Tempest is the tenth studio album by American hip hop duo Insane Clown Posse. Released in 2007, the album marks the return of producer Mike E. Clark, who had a falling-out with the duo in 2000. However, he did not collaborate directly with ICP, and would not do so until their 2009 album Bang! Pow! Boom! The album's concept compares a violent storm to a roller coaster; its lyrical themes vary from horrorcore-based character deconstructions and songs about the supernatural to humorous and lighter subject matter

The music to one of the Atari Jaguar's most memorable (and best) games, Tempest 2000. It's an amazing techno soundtrack from a bygone era. While the game revisited the past, the music itself gave us a glimpse into an alternate future where music wouldn't be the mainstream joke that it is today.

Tempest is a veteran band on all fronts, and they have a sure confidence in what they do that shines through on all levels on this album. While not an album that will expand any musical boundaries, this is a high quality production through and through, and a production that merits a check if you enjoy folk rock in general, and in particular if you tend to enjoy bands of this kind that bring in dominant elements from Irish, Celtic and Scandinavian folk music into this context. This is my first Tempest album and I should say I never heard about this band before.
