Phantom Amour is the second studio album by American metalcore band Toothgrinder. The album was released on November 10, 2017 through Spinefarm Records. This is the band's first release with lead guitarist, backing vocalist Johnuel Hasney. Phantom Amour was produced by Taylor Larson at Oceanic Recordings in Bethesda, Maryland.

Having shattered expectations with 2015’s exemplary Nocturnal Masquerade, Toothgrinder have dramatically augmented their creative palette on this hole full-length. Its 13 tracks burst with taut aggression and expansive catharsis; from classic rock, to prog-metal and experimental defiance, Phantom Amour is a melting pot of the fresh and the feral.

After putting their own melodic spin on progressive metal with 2016’s Nocturnal Masquerade, New Jersey quintet Toothgrinder have expanded their sound dramatically with their second album. Electronic backing tracks fuse with nu-metal grooves on opener Hvy, The Shadow, and the politically charged Red as frontman Justin Matthews’ voice shifts from extreme roar to breathy, clean singing. He even practically raps on Let It Ride, which also features a dazzlingly off-kilter guitar solo. Acoustic love song Jubilee and the plaintive, shimmering title track complete a true metamorphosis.
