John Lee Hooker was an American blues singer and guitarist who recorded from 1948 to 2001. His discography includes recordings issued by various record companies in different formats. The Detroit Years (recordings 1948–1955). 1959 – House of the Blues (Chess). 1960 – The Blues (Crown) – early Modern tracks. 1961 – Sings the Blues (Crown) – Modern tracks. 1961 – Plays and Sings The Blues (Chess) – 1950–52 tracks.

John Lee Hooker was an American blues singer/songwriter from Coahoma County, Mississippi. He was best known for the songs "Boom Boom," "Crawling King Snake" and "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer. Hooker released over forty albums during his career which began in 1943. 10. "Boom, Boom" is a 1962 blues single by John Lee Hooker. John Lee Hooker recorded his version in 1971 based upon a cover version that was composed by Bumble Bee Slim. The song appears on the studio album Hooker n' Heat which is a collaboration between Canned Heat and John Lee Hooker, making for a classic blues rocking sound. 6. "Bottle Up and Go" is John Lee Hooker's cover of the 1939 blues single by Tommy McClennan. Hooker's version appears on the 1971 studio album Hooker n' Heat.
