That was the year he teamed with Opry star Jean Shepard on a pair of hits, the Top 10 I’ll Take the Dog and Mr. Do-It-Yourself. Between those two singles, he became an Opry member himself.

Ray Pillow (born July 4, 1937) is an American country music singer who has also worked as a music publisher and A&R representative. In his career, he has charted eighteen times on the Billboard country singles charts, with his highest-peaking song being the No. 9 "I'll Take the Dog," a duet with Jean Shepard. Australian WRC 1st pressing on beige 'strobe' label, sourced from original stampers and featuring unique sleeve art. Mono and stereo versions have same number on back of sleeve (S/4719) - the mono version has "4719" on beige 'strobe' label, while the stereo has "S-4719" on green 'strobe' label. The stereo version has a printed "stereo" rosette on the back, and the mono has a red sticker with "mono" placed over this (though these tend to drop off with age).
