Nola is the debut release from heavy metal supergroup Down. Its title is a common abbreviation of New Orleans, Louisiana (NO,LA) from where the band was based. With songs written mainly between 1990 and 1995 by Phil Anselmo of Pantera and Pepper Kennan of Corrosion of Conformity, the members of Down gave out a self-produced demo tape (not revealing they were actually in the band) and toured the New Orleans area.
