Obedience Thru Suffering (1991). Time Heals Nothing (1995). Crowbar is the second studio album by New Orleans sludge metal band Crowbar, released on October 12, 1993. The album sold 100,000 copies on the now defunct independent label Pavement Music. The singles "All I Had (I Gave)" and "Existence Is Punishment" were played on MTV and received international attention. Crowbar was produced by Phil Anselmo, a childhood friend of Crowbar's founder Kirk Windstein and the singer of Pantera, and recorded in New Orleans in 1992.

This album is Crowbar's first album and damn it's awesome. I like the album because it shows you what your in store for for their future. In 25 years they started with this and built a following based on heaviness. The album broods with heavy thick basslines. Kirks vocals have definitely progressed since their first album. If your not . o the band or don't k ow much i would say pick this up and pick up the self titled album(2nd album) and Time Heals Nothing and Odd Fellows Rest  . Feeding Fear","I Despise",and others. And the "Obedience Thru Suffering" song has a great slow-grindy-chord intro,but then later in the song the music changes to some EXTREMELY COOL biker doom metal. Whenever this part of the song plays(as well as other parts throughout this cd),im always pounding my fists in the air quite aggressively as I play.
