The Black Crowes were an American rock band formed in 1989. Their discography includes eight studio albums, four live albums and several charting singles. The band was signed to Def American Recordings in 1989 by producer George Drakoulias and released its debut album, Shake Your Money Maker, the following year. The follow-up, The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion, reached the top of the Billboard 200 in 1992.
Black/Death Metal/Hardcore.
The most recent Crowes’ studio album featured several psychedelic tunes, but one song stands out amongst the 20 offered, and that’s the Dylan-esque, 'I Ain’t Hiding. With a funky bass beat and wicked guitars, the song's vibe is amplified with Robinson’s lyrics and vocals. Opening with, 'Rust on my pickups and blood on the stage, Seeds in the ashtray and coke on the blade,' the Chris Robinson-penned song is flawless in its old-school rock and roll style. 9. 'My Morning Song'. One of the tamer songs on 'Southern Harmony,' 'Thorn in My Pride' perfectly captures the soulful edge of the Black Crowes. As opposed to 'Lickin,'' the band is obviously comfortable with performing the song live as they've played it nearly 1,000 times since the early-'90s. With emotional lyrics that have become definitive for the Crowes' career, 'Thorn in My Pride' is a must on anyone's list of the Top 10 Black Crowes Songs.

Aerosmith is the eponymous debut studio album by American rock band Aerosmith, released on January 5, 1973 by Columbia Records. The song "Walkin' the Dog" is a cover of a song originally performed by Rufus Thomas. The single "Dream On" became an American top ten single when re-released in December 1975 ; it had first been released as a single in 1973. The album peaked at number 21 on the US Billboard 200 Chart in 1976.
When the Black Crowes’ producer George Drakoulias first saw Chris and Rich play as Mr. Crowe’s Garden in New York in 1988, he thought they kind of sucked. The sound was stiff, punkish college-radio jangle, the songwriting was nothing to rave about and as a guitarist Rich was definitely holding back, says Drakoulias. He was the only guitar player, so he just kept his right hand going. There’s one really arrogant part of me that says there hasn’t been a rock album besides Appetite for Destruction that has caused as much reaction as we have, Chris adds. Definitely not Night Ranger and fucking Lover-boy and all those bands that ruined rock & roll. Maybe it’s the same kind of thing as when . popped up in the early Eighties. Chris is well stocked with books and music for the unexpected four-week vacation the Black Crowes are getting courtesy of ZZ Top.
