Islands is the fourth studio album by English band King Crimson, released in December 1971 on the record label Island. Islands would be the last King Crimson studio album before the group's trilogy of Larks' Tongues in Aspic, Starless and Bible Black and Red. It is also the last album to feature the lyrics of founding member Peter Sinfield. The album received a mixed response from critics.

Islands (King Crimson album). Islands is the fourth studio album by English band King Crimson, released in December 1971 on record label Island. It's also the last to feature the lyrics of founding member Peter Sinfield. The bridge section is also taken from the King Crimson version of the song, performed by the original line-up, titled simply "Drop In" and later released on the live-album Epitaph.

King Crimson ‎– Islands. Label: WHD Entertainment, Inc. (2) ‎– IECP-30004, Discipline Global Mobile (2) ‎– IECP-30004. Format: CD, Album, Unofficial Release, Stereo, Mini LP Papersleeve. Originally released in 1971 . Replica of Islands.

USA is a live album by the English band King Crimson, released in 1975. It was mostly recorded at the Casino, Asbury Park, New Jersey, on 28 June 1974. The exceptions are track 7, which was recorded at the Palace Theatre, Providence, Rhode Island, United States, on 30 June 1974, and Eddie Jobson's overdubs on tracks 2, 3 and 7, which were recorded in a studio. Live recording was performed by George Chkiantz and David Hewitt on the Record Plant NY Remote Truck.

And so, to Islands, King Crimson's fourth release (1971), and the first to feature a road-capable band after the short-lived original line-up of In the Court of the Crimson King and, with the possible exception of Lizard, the most overtly jazz-centric album in the group's career. As strong an album as Islands is-and it's all the more so for Wilson's astute and definitive new mix, and a remarkable DVD authoring/assembly job by Opus Productions' Neil Wilkes, fitting an incredible amount of bonus content onto the DVD, in addition to MLP Lossless . Surround, DTS . Digital Surround, MLP Lossless Stereo (24/96) and.

The title track of Islands is a melancholic trance that outlines a mood of unattainable tranquility. Sung by new bassist Boz Burrell, it’s a strikingly patient and uncluttered ballad, and one of Crimson’s most delicate moments. Elsewhere, the band seeks to provoke the senses, not least with the spiky, lurching groove of Ladies of the Road, which sounds like The Beatles attempting Bitches Brew.

Bele Bele
I've just bought a pink rim Matrix / Runout (Runout Side A): ILPS 9175 A-1 UMatrix / Runout (Runout Side B): ILPS 9175 B-1 U with a single cover (not gatefold and has no writing on the cover at all & no inner lyric sheet) what's weird about it is the previous owner had written his name MARK ADAMS on the label on side 2 and on the inner sleeve with a pen and fountain pen a few times. The seller hid this from me so while I was taking photos of it cos it was not as described I noticed to my surprise that the same name Mark Adams is engraved on the vinyl opposite the matrix number on side one. Next to the catalogue no on theme label ILPS-9175. Usually you get PECKO OR PORKY engraved on it but this one is strange. I've never seen one with Mark Adams written on it before. I doubt the owner engraved it himself. It seems like it could the pressers own personal copy. Can anyone out there shed some light on this. Most of my king crimson albums are A 1 U & B 2 U. Does anyone out there know who Mark Adams is?
