Labrecque is a municipality in Quebec, Canada. The first settlers arrived in 1917. In 1920, the Labrecque Township was proclaimed, and in 1925, the municipality was incorporated, both named after Michel-Thomas Labrecque (1849-1932), who was third bishop of Chicoutimi from 1892 to 1928. The first mayor was Jean-Batiste Maltais. The first industry, a sawmill, came in operation in 1921, and the post office opened in 1923. Royal LePage has complete real estate listings across Canada.

Frère Jacques, also known in English as Brother John (although Charles and its short version Jack, is correct), is a nursery rhyme of French origin. The rhyme is traditionally sung in a round. The song is about a friar who has overslept and is urged to wake up and sound the bell for the matins, the midnight or very early morning prayers for which a monk would be expected to wake. The French lyrics, their literal translation, and traditional English lyrics are in the following table.
