Feel Something', the follow up to last year's 'Out Of View', the new album features ten brand new tracks and was recorded over the last few months at. .

The History of Apple Pie were an English rock band from London. They released their debut album Out of View on 28 January 2013, which went in at number 8 in the UK Indie Breakers Chart, and number 2 in the UK Record Store Chart. The History of Apple Pie formed when singer Stephanie Min and guitarist Jerome Watson played songs together, put them on the internet and began to get e-mails by labels and managers

Out of View, their debut full-length, follows a series of well received singles, and appropriates the signature fuzzed-out rock sound of indie rock's golden years in much the same way as bands such as Best Coast and Real Estate recontextualized 60s guitar pop: as a vehicle for yearning for what they perceive to be simpler times. And yet the album works way better than it probably ought to, and that's almost entirely due to the songwriting. The History of Apple Pie's core members-Minn and her boyfriend, guitarist Jerome Watson- originally launched the group as a bedroom pop project, releasing their songs via MySpace. Over the last few years, they've become expert at turning out prime indie rock ear candy: Catchy riffs come fast and furiously, and "Mallory" is probably the finest example.

It’s hard to write about The History of Apple Pie without bad pastry-related puns, but we’ll try. These Londoners make a euphoric racket the old-fashioned way: bass, drums, and two heavily processed guitars. Out of View’ is THOAP’s debut, and despite sometimes teetering into twee-pop territory – the customised ice cream van on the album cover doesn’t help – it’s an impressive listen. The searing shoegaze of ‘I Want More’ and the jagged, Blur-plays-Garbage al. ock of ‘The Warrior’ prove that although THOAP are sugar-sweet, they’ve got enough crunch to be very tasty indeed.

So is there any need for The History Of Apple Pie, with their transparently obvious nods to My Bloody Valentine, The Breeders and numberless shoegaze pop outfits of the era? Um, probably not. Do they look like they give a fuck? Hell nah! And ‘Out Of View’, engineered by The Horrors’ Josh Hayward, is noisy, irreverent fun. The quintet’s songwriting partnership – romantic duo Stephanie Min and Jerome Watson – know instinctively that the trick to pulling off this shtick is to give it some welly and look like you’re enjoying yourselves. As such, opener ‘Tug’ (digging the MBV-esque innuendo there,. But when the filling’s this good, there’s no sense worrying about the shelf-life of Pie. Alex Denney.

Out 1/29/2013 on Marshall Teller, Out of View offers a lot of what you hope for in a debut record, a precocious, vibrant effort by a band with a vital perspective that's worth pursuing.

The album was produced by the band's guitarist Jerome Watson, and he and the band make sure to vary the guitar tones from song to song, bring in different kinds of percussion, and make each song sound a little different than the next but still part of a well-conceived whole. Out of View is an impressive debut but, more than that, it's the sound of shoegaze and early-'90s guitar pop at its best. Borrowed or not, you have to respect that.

Read on for the fascinating apple pie history you never knew about. Yet history made it ours. How? Matthew Cohen for Reader's Digest. The grill glows hot, the beer is on ice, and the fireworks are ready to burst. There are burgers, potato salad, and, of course, apple pie. But this all-American dessert isn’t as homegrown as you’d think

Their name might sound as twee as Belle and Sebastian's book club, but this lot are flying the flag for lo-fi noise rock. The lineup: Stephanie Min (vocals), Jerome Watson (guitar), James Thomas (drums), Kelly Lee Owens (bass, backing vocals), Aslam Ghauri (guitar).
