Get Real, MTB's eleventy-twelfth album, follows 2009's similar ode-to-ADHD Don"t Worry, but it isn't merely a stylistic regurgitation. The strides that MTB have made in songwriting are really quite remarkable for what could be a potentially limiting formula in the hands of lesser musicians. Much like hairless cats or pictures of babies in flowerpots, Math the Band is one of those things which is just so pure and positive that it can crack anyone's shell of cynicism if they open themselves up to the experience. Hey, if it can get through to a nihilistic sociopath like myself, then there's got to be some merit to it. It may not be high art, but it's relentlessly fun and gives you all the buzz of snorting Pixy Stix without the deviated septum. Check it out and be sure to catch MTB on tour

Frank t. Person It took me a bit longer to actually get into this album compared to the other Math the Band stuff I've listened to (a whole week! As opposed to how the other ones I've heard hit me pretty much immediately) but Hocus Bogus is just. Includes high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more. Paying supporters also get unlimited streaming via the free Bandcamp app. Purchasable with gift card. All rights are reserved and all that stuff etc etc etc. Made with: Yamaha CS15, Moog MG1, Arp Axxe, Arturia Minibrute, Alesis Hr-16, Roland R8, Midibox Sid, Shruthi-1, E- mu Proteus 2, Paia Fatman, and Electrix Warp Factory. Recorded by Math the Band, in the the southwest corner of their apartment. Mixed by Rocky O'Reilly at Start Together Studio.

Math the Band the Band, formerly known as Math the Band, have expanded from a duo to a seven-piece. They recorded The Album with Stephen George, the original drummer of Ministry who also happens to have produced the Space Jam soundtrack. They have a pretty epic new wrestling-themed video for Didn’t Have Time to Think which you can watch above. They don’t have a record label for their new album so they worked with local comic artist Walker Mettling to design a fake cereal called Ouchies. The box of cereal is their album.

We gotta get it together, get it together We just gotta work it out We gotta get it together and keep it together We just don’t know how. This lyrics has been read 9 times. Math the Band is equal parts Atom and His Package and Andrew WK. Sampled casio sk1 drums, paired with solid square waves and more BPMs than can possibly be considered reasonable. Started by a fourteen year old kid who was kicked out of his high school pop-punk band, Math the Band has been going strong for 8 years, playing well over 600 shows throughout the USA, Mexico, Canada and The United Kingdom.
