Real Friends is the third studio album by R&B group The Friends of Distinction, released in 1970 on the RCA Victor label. The album peaked at No. 9 on the R&B albums chart. The band released their third studio album Composure on July 13, 2018. In the fall of 2010 bassist Kyle Fasel "wasn't happy" with the music he was working on and wished to start over. Fasel called lead guitarist Dave Knox and the pair soon started talking about the goals they wished to achieve.
