The Boogie Boys originally are Keith Short (Kool Ski) and William Stroman (Boogie Knight). They battled Pernellio and Crew at the popular IS 201 128th and Madison Avenue to get their first record deal with Mike and Dave Records. The song was called Rappin Aint No Thang and was mixed live by Crash Crew . Darryl C with three records (Eagles, Johnny The Fox and . Ted Currier and Kool Ski could not see eye to eye and that left Boogie Knight with an album deal by himself while he was in the Air Force. The album was eventually completed and including the song Fly Girl.

The Flood tapes 1959-62. In the early 1950s, Burgess played boogie woogie music in dance halls and bars around Newport. Burgess, Kern Kennedy, Johnny Ray Hubbard, and Gerald Jackson formed a boogie-woogie band they called the Rocky Road Ramblers. In 1954, following a stint in the US Army (1951–53), Burgess re-formed the band, calling them the Moonlighters after the Silver Moon Club in Newport, where they performed regularly.

The Geto Boys is a remix album by the Geto Boys released in 1990. The album contains one track from the group’s debut album Making Trouble (1988), 10 from its previous album Grip It! On That Other Level (1989), and two new songs. All tracks on the album were re-recorded, remixed and revamped by acclaimed producer Rick Rubin with his protégé Brendan O'Brien. The cover of the album resembles The Beatles' album Let It Be, and the songs attracted much controversy upon the album’s release.
