Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (also known as Mad Max 3) is a 1985 Australian post-apocalyptic action film directed by George Miller and George Ogilvie, distributed by Warner Bros. and written by Miller and Terry Hayes. Nowadays we just seem to get one big-budget failure after another, as the box office slump now extends into its fourteenth week. Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome isn't a bad movie. It has entertaining sections, decent performances and more than a few provocative images. But it also has a major shortcoming: It's too darned sane.
