The Johnny Cash Children's Album is the 49th album by country singer Johnny Cash, released on Columbia Records in 1975 featuring recordings made between January 1972 and October 1973. As the title implies, it contains songs written for children. Among others, this includes "Tiger Whitehead", a song later released in an acoustic version on Cash's posthumous Personal File album in 2006. Most of the songs on the album had not been performed by Cash before.

If I Were a Carpenter", a famous duet with Cash's wife, June Carter Cash, earned the couple a Grammy Award for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal in 1971 (see Grammy Awards of 1971); the song also reached No. 2 on the Country charts.

Johnny Cash’s 1966 single The One on the Right is on the Left from his album Everybody Loves a Nut went to No. 2 on the Billboard country chart, but isn’t much talked about today. The song is one of the most humorous and satirical of Cash’s terrific body of work. The One on the Right is on the Left tells the tale of a folk music group who lets their politics and feelings tear themselves apart. It’s a humorous take on musicians inserting their political beliefs into song, but you have to feel it’s tongue in cheek as this is something Cash would do in song and many of his music friends like.

Ironically, the song was the last that Cash would ever perform in public on July 5, 2003 – just a few weeks after the passing of his beloved June. The lyrics were perhaps Cash at his most cocky or belligerent – depending upon your definition. But, any conversation concerning Johnny Cash songs has to include the lyrics of Trent Reznor – which took on new life from Cash, seemingly at the end of his long struggle with life and his demons. Never before had an artist been so willing to show their vulnerability at such a late stage in their career, but that’s why Johnny Cash was Johnny Cash.

The One on the Right Is on the Left by Johnny Cash. The Wanderer" -this was a tune off of U2's Zooropa Album, and it really sounds like an apocalyptic end of the world tune -a fine closer to this album. Though this double set is really impressive, it is way too short to truly measure Cash's career
