Mark Porkchop Holder and his band perform Disappearing off his new album Let It Slide at the Wildwood Hotel in Willamina, Oregon. It’s a great opportunity to see Holder’s hybrid technique, employing both slide and traditional fretting, here in an open G tuning.

Mark Porkchop Holder originally turned the blues on its head more than a decade ago as a founding member of punk/blues band Black Diamond Heavies fire in a barrel. Now just nine months later, the guitar-slinging, harp-shredding bluesman is releasing his follow-up album, Death and the Blues. On it, Holder, along with Travis Kilgore (bass) and Doug Bales (drums), builds on the success of his previous album with eight newly penned tracks, along with three rousing covers.

Pharmacy is the debut studio album by Swedish electronic music duo Galantis, released on 8 June 2015. The album features six singles ("Runaway (U & I)", "You", "Peanut Butter Jelly", "Gold Dust", "In My Head" and "Louder, Harder, Better"). Overall, four "Seafoxes" are included in the album artwork. The cover features a unique Seafox, only seen on the album artwork. The booklet features a Seafox also used for the "You" single artwork, and also appears on the cover of the Galantis EP.

MARK PORKCHOP HOLDER plays the blues, and his music is the sound of the truth. He has traveled around the world and the US, and played at festivals, clubs, in the streets, at churches, in public toilets, army surplus stores, and in a mental hospital or two. After more than a decade of struggling with depression and addiction, he has finally come back home, in Chattanooga TN, and assembled a first rate power trio. They are Fry Pharmacy and My Black Name. They hold even more relevancy because it's just him doing what he did when I saw him on the streets, blood, sweat and tears pouring off of him; giving it everything he had to give.
