Homogenic is the fourth studio album by Björk, released on September 22, 1997.

With its surprising starkness and darkness, 1997's Homogenic shatters her "Icelandic pixie" image. Possibly inspired by her failed relationship with drum'n'bass kingpin Goldie, Björk sheds her more precious aspects, displaying more emotional depth than even her best previous work indicated. Her collaborators - LFO's Mark Bell, Mark "Spike" Stent, and Post contributor Howie B - help make this album not only her emotionally bravest work, but her most sonically adventurous as well.

Homogenic embraced all of Björk’s most provocative contradictions. The main theme is the wish to rush headlong into a life lived to the fullest-an unbridled yearning for the sublime. Score: 10 Mastapeece.

Björk is the only studio album by Icelandic singer Björk Guðmundsdóttir as a child singer, released on 18 December 1977 by Fálkinn. In 1976, Björk appeared on Icelandic radio singing "I Love to Love" through the music school she attended, which led her to a record deal and the release, with the help of stepfather Sævar, of her first solo album in 1977.

Before I bought Björk's third album, Homogenic, in an Our Price in Kent with some birthday vouchers, I had only ever listened to Michael Jackson. That's not an exaggeration. Call it blind fandom perhaps, but it felt weird not listening to MJ, like anything else was cheating. I wouldn't even listen to Prince or Madonna – his biggest rivals in the holy trinity of 80s pop (the fact that this mania took hold in the 90s seemed irrelevant).

Listen free to Björk – Homogenic (Hunter, Jóga and more). I wanted to make it an honest record. Me, here, myself, at home. I asked myself if there is such a thing as Icelandic techno, and how it could sound. Very elementary and uncontrollable. But at the other hand, Iceland is incredibly modern; everything is hi-tech. The number of people owning a computer is as high as nowhere else in the world. That contradiction is also on Homogenic. The electronic beats are the rhythm, the heartbeat. Однако ты также можешь выбрать другой язык. A new version of Last.

Homogenic is the third international solo album by Icelandic musician Björk, released in September 1997. Produced by Björk, Mark Bell, Guy Sigsworth, Howie B and Markus Dravs, it was released on One Little Indian Records. The music of Homogenic was a new style for Björk, focusing on similar-sounding music combining electronic beats and string instruments with songs in tribute to her native country Iceland. Homogenic was originally to be produced in her home in London, but was later recorded in Spain
