Post was Björk's second solo studio album. Released in June 1995, the album was produced in conjunction with Nellee Hooper, Tricky, Graham Massey of 808 State, and electronica producer Howie B. Building on the success of Debut, Björk continued to pursue different sounds, taking particular interest in dance and techno. Production by Tricky and Howie B also provided trip sounds on tracks like "Possibly Maybe" and "Enjoy". The DualDiscs were also released separately. Björk's former band, the Sugarcubes, reunited for a one-night-only concert in Reykjavík on 17 November 2006

Björk is the only studio album by Icelandic singer Björk Guðmundsdóttir as a child singer, released on 18 December 1977 by Fálkinn. In 1976, Björk appeared on Icelandic radio singing "I Love to Love" through the music school she attended, which led her to a record deal and the release, with the help of stepfather Sævar, of her first solo album in 1977.

Björk said: I’m writing my next thing. I’m still allowing myself to be a submarine; I don’t totally have the view of it yet. It’s funny, each album is different for me. Like, what comes first? With this one it’s maybe the melodies. This is very abstract, but the melodies have a similar kind of shape. But it’s really early on, and I don’t even know if I should say, but I have got three songs down with Alejandro, who I worked with on the last album. The last album, we sort of call it "hell" – it was like divorce! So we are doing paradise now. Utopia

The cover character for the singer’s most personal album yet was created by Björk and the Dutch husband-and-wife photography duo Inez and Vinoodh. Björk’s second album explored the isolation she felt from her friends and family in Iceland. For this cover, Me Company surround her with giant abstract postcards that represented the communication between the peripatetic artist and her loved ones. The image was photographed on a street in London.
