Nothing to Gain feels lightweight, dull, and tinny instead, making it a very boring and unpleasant album. Maybe it was for the best that this band broke up after this. This can not be said of Nothing to Gain, an album which all too rarely delivers anything resembling an interesting riff or an exciting vocal line. There is a severe lack of violence here, The songs on this album are dull, sub-standard groove metal tracks, Sean Killian's vocals don't work this way. Rob Flynn and Phil Demmel started their machine head tendencies here. The lyrics aren't edgy, disgusting, intelligent, catchy or funny.

This album is almost the opposite because this album is way more hevy than their other albums, this album doesn't have the same speed or structure as their strong debut �Eternal Nightmare� for example.
