This live recording, made in 1975, comes from Ritchie Blackmore's last three concerts with the band before leaving to form Rainbow. It features Deep Purple Mark III, with David Coverdale on vocals and Glenn Hughes on bass and vocals. Coverdale is a convincing hard rock singer, though he lacks the winning quirkiness of Ian Gillan, while Hughes is a busier and more up-front player than Roger Glover.
The live majesty of Made in Japan was matched by this 1975 recording, their last Warner Bros. LP with Ritchie Blackmore. He and John Lord show off their killer chops on Burn; Mistreated; You Fool No One, and more!
Deep Purple have announced that their 1976 live album Made in Europe is being remixed and will be released as a deluxe box set in early 2015. IT ROCKS and it’s due early 2015!

Post-breakup, Deep Purple still released another live album, this time Made in Europe instead of Made in Japan. Though the band broke up in 1976 after the one album-lasting Mark IV, this second live album was recorded earlier with Mark III, in 1975, on the very last dates Ritchie Blackmore was still playing with them. Needless to say, this was obviously a nice cash-in for EMI. Deep Purple Mk. III was: - David Coverdale ~ Lead Vocals - Richard Hugh Blackmore ~ Lead Guitar - Glenn Hughes ~ Bass Guitar, Vocals - Jon Douglas Lord ~ Keyboards - Ian Anderson Pace ~ Drums
