Stormbringer is the ninth studio album by the English hard rock band Deep Purple, released in November 1974. The cover image of Stormbringer is based on a photo. On 8 July 1927 a tornado near the town of Jasper, Minnesota was photographed by Lucille Handberg. The same photograph was used for Miles Davis' album Bitches Brew in 1970 and Siouxsie and the Banshees' album Tinderbox in 1986.

Original Album Remastered. Written-By – Coverdale, Blackmore. 24 page extensive illustrated CD booklet. Original LP released in November 1974 in the UK as Purple TPS 3508 and in the US as Warner Brothers PR 2832. Quad LP released in 1975 in the US as Warner Brothers PR4 2832. DVD is not in DVD-A format and the PCM Stereo tracks on the DVD are in 48/16 format and not 48/24 as listed.

Don't get me wrong Ian Gillan is a fine vocalist but next to Deep Purple Stormbringer's lead vocalist David Cloverdale, who also performed lead vocals for Whitesnake, leaves Ian Gillan in the dust. Obviously you don't enjoy the type of music on this album. Stick to Poison, Twisted Sister and the other 80's garbage rock and roll.
