Music was taken from various sessions, with and without the Hawks. It contains Bringing It All Back Home outtakes, January 13-15, 1965, Miami Convention May12, 1965, Highway 61 Revisited outtakes, June 16-30 and July, 1965, and Blonde on Blonde outtakes, November 1965 – January 1966. The recording contains incredible material, and great sound. There is a 'vinyl noise' apparent at times, but this is surface noise from the alternate acetate, rather than a vinyl boot

Thanks a million to noted author/music journalist Richie Unterberger for ranking "That Thin, Wild Mercury Sound" No. 5 on his list of "Top Twenty (Plus) Rock Books of 2018.

Bob Dylan trying to describe his new music in '65. "I didn't know if it was ever gonna be special. Daryl Sanders has devoted his life to immersion in the rock, blues, r&b and roots scenes that exist beyond Nashville's country music - and that commitment informs every word of THAT THIN, WILD MERCURY SOUND. Having gained the trust of some of Nashville's most legendary session men, he's conducted interviews no one else would've known to, curried out details that bring the sessions to life and allows readers to feel the music Dylan evolved into.

Bob Dylan's 1974 album, Blood on the Tracks, reminded the world that Dylan was a songwriter without peer. On his next album, he decided to experiment by taking on a co-writer, theater director Jacques Levy. While the songs on Blood on the Tracks were highly personal, these new songs were largely about characters, both real and imagined. It's an enormously complicated story that Dylan and Levy crammed into a seven-minute pop song, and even though they got some of the facts a little wrong, it brought renewed attention to the plight of the imprisoned boxer. The album ends with "Sara," an extremely moving tribute to Dylan's long-suffering wife. The album is also notable for the work of violinist Scarlet Rivera.

Bob Dylan (born Robert Allen Zimmerman; May 24, 1941) is an American singer-songwriter, author, poet, and visual artist who has been a major figure in popular culture for more than fifty years. Much of his most celebrated work dates from the 1960s, when songs such as "Blowin' in the Wind" (1963) and "The Times They Are a-Changin'" (1964) became anthems for the Civil Rights Movement and anti-war movement

Bob Dylan is the debut studio album by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, released on March 19, 1962 by Columbia Records. Produced by Columbia's legendary talent scout John H. Hammond, who signed Dylan to the label, the album features folk standards, plus two original compositions, "Talkin' New York" and "Song to Woody".
