Virtual XI (pronounced: Virtual Eleven) is the eleventh studio album by English heavy metal band Iron Maiden, released on 23 March 1998. It is the band's second and final album with Blaze Bayley on vocals. Virtual XI's title is tied in with two extra-musical events: the release of the band's computer game, Ed Hunter, and the fact that the 1998 FIFA World Cup would be taking place in June of that year.

Virtual XI. Iron Maiden. The booklet artwork features several images from the computer game/compilation album Ed Hunter, released the following year. The photoshoot features the band alongside professional footballers Stuart Pearce, Faustino Asprilla, Paul Gascoigne, Ian Wright, Patrick Vieira and Marc Overmars, as the album was released a few months before the 1998 World Cup in France. The "XI" in the album title refers both to this being the band's eleventh album, and the eleven players in a football team
