Bend Sinister is the ninth studio album by English post-punk band the Fall. It was released in September 1986 by record label Beggars Banquet. Bend Sinister was the third and last Fall album to be produced by John Leckie. When recording began, the band was without a drummer, as Karl Burns was fired shortly before sessions began. Ex-member Paul Hanley stepped in at first before permanent replacement Simon Wolstencroft was found.

Paroles Hey! Luciani. I said Hey Luciani Pope of three three days They made out you were are an ultra nut And had no time for your Christianity You paid with your life for their treachery The future's here today The future's here to stay Luciani Hey Luciani Jesus has gone away I said Hey Luciani Meet the Church, Bank, . you were of peasant stock And one day the curia murdered you Your hermeneutics are through And on that fruited plain The corporate bishop's graze Exit church of poverty and pain The future's here today The future's here to stay Hey Luciani A pop star in your.

Hey Luciani Jesus has gone away I said Hey Luciani Meet the Church, Bank, . They said you were of peasant stock And one day the curia murdered you Your hermeneutics are through And on that fruited plain The corporate bishop's graze Exit church of poverty and pain The future's here today The future's here to stay. Hey Luciani A pop star in your cell I said Hey Luciani A Polish son of Hell.

Famously described by John Peel as being "always different, always the same", The Fall were formed in Manchester, England in 1976 during the Punk era although their style quickly evolved into something more idiosyncratic. The one permanent fixture amidst the Fall's ever-changing line-up was Mark E. Smith (1957 – 2018).
