Alan Davies has revealed that Stephen Fry quit QI because the filming schedule left him exhausted. Speaking to the Daily Mail, Alan explained that BBC cuts forced the team to make three episodes a day, leaving Stephen feeling completely worn out. "For budget reasons, they ended up making him do three shows in 24 hours," he said. Alan also praised new host Sandi Toksvig, describing her as a "really good replacement" and adding: "There's a good atmosphere around the show. Then you go to a QI recording with Stephen in the chair and the two hours fly by – there are no pauses, barely a fluff on the autocue. Up-tempo, funny, sharp.
