Keith Richards : Talk Is Cheap,альбом, рецезия, трек-лист, mp3, тексты песен.
Talk Is Cheap is the debut solo album by Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones, released in 1988. Relations between Jagger and Richards had grown tense into the third decade of the Rolling Stones as they began to disagree on the musical direction of the band; "You Don't Move Me" would be written about their feud.
To the surprise of absolutely no one, Talk Is Cheap often resembles a Rolling Stones album ("Take It So Hard" could pass for the best Stones single since "Start Me Up"), but part of its charm is that even when it strays far from the band's template - such as the churning funk of "Big Enough" or. the Chuck Berry tribute/rip-off "I Could Have Stood You Up" - it still beautifully captures what Richards brought to the band as a guitarist and songwriter, only in different surroundings and fresh contexts.
The audio has been remastered by original producer Steve Jordan and this set comes with six unreleased bonus tracks featuring Mick Taylor, Bootsy Collins, & Johnnie Johnson

Keith Richards' "Talk Is Cheap" will be reissued on March 29. (BMG Rights Management). That core group of players expanded with guest appearances by c bassist "Bootsy" Collins and keyboardist Bernie Worrell, James Brown saxophonist Maceo Parker, singer and recent (at that time) E Street Band recruit Patti Scialfa, NRBQ bassist Joey Spampinato, Cajun fiddler and singer Michael Doucet of Beausoleil, zydeco accordionist-singer Stanley Buckwheat Dural J. singer Sarah Dash and, on the track "Make. Playing with a bunch of guys I'd known for ages and always wanted to play together, more than just on odd sessions here and there, it all fell together so naturally, it was really quite a jo. " The tracks allowed Richards to assert his own musical leanings, as well as the ragged-but-right vocals that typically took center stage once per Stones album, if that.
So Keith Richards decided to do something he’d always held off on: form his own solo band. The result was Talk is Cheap, an endearingly ragged classic considered by many fans the best Rolling Stones-related release of the last three decades. To celebrate its 30th anniversary on March 29th, the album will finally be reissued as a huge box set that includes the album on CD and vinyl, six unreleased tracks from the sessions and an 80-page book featuring a new interview with Richards. There an even more extravagant super deluxe box set that comes in a case that replaces Richards’ guitar case made by the Fender Custom Shop. This album holds up, Richards said.
The 30th Anniversary Reissue of "Talk Is Cheap" will be released on March 29th on multiple formats: super deluxe box sets, CD, LP, and digital. Via today's press release: "There's a joyous swagger to 'Talk Is Cheap' that permeates each and every song. It sounds as good today as it did thirty years ago - in Keith's words 'as fresh as the day it was made. This reissue also includes 6 bonus tracks, four of which feature pianist Johnnie Johnson including Eddie Taylor's 'Big Town Playboy,' 'Blues Jam', 'Slim' and the kinetic Jimmy Reed cover 'My Babe.
Reluctantly at first, Richards formed a band that rocked and made what was hailed as the best Stones album in years. The civil war between the two Stones flared in 1983 after Jagger sneaked solo opportunities into the band's new CBS mega-deal and released MTV-geared She's The Boss. This soured recording of Dirty Work, but touring behind his album with another band (playing Stones classics) ignited Keith's own offensive . Like the best Stones songs, there’s never any dating Keith’s immortal spirit, and Talk Is Cheap holds its head high as it relentlessly reaffirms that that was indeed some knife.
