Kissing the Pink are a British new wave/synthpop group from London, England. Members included Nick Whitecross, Jon Hall, George Stewart, Josephine Wells, Anne Stokes, Peter Barnett, Sylvia Griffin, Steve Cusack and Simon Aldridge.
Naked" is the first studio album by the English new wave band Kissing the Pink. The album reached No. 54 on the UK Albums Chart in April 1983, and produced their Top 20 hit "Last Film". KTP´s" 1983 "Naked" album is one of the most remarkable albums from the 80´s "New Wave". It´s light-years more elaborated & innovative than the poppier New Wave releases of that time. It sounds like a New Wave-Prog,almost like the "Cardiacs",one of my preferred bands, wich with their unusual approach,openned doors to a sort of Prog-Punk.
Kissing the Pink's debut album, Naked, followed in the grand tradition of eccentric art-school collectives like Deaf School - pulling influences (and members) from all over the map, without a care for fashionability or marketability and, ultimately, giving rise to an album that sounds little like anything else created before or since.
