Safety in Numbers is the third studio album by American rock band Crack the Sky, released on LP in October 1978 (see 1978 in music) by Lifesong Records (catalog 35041). It is the band's highest charting release on the Billboard album chart, peaking at This album is markedly different from the previous two Crack The Sky releases, being largely written by Rick Witkowski with Joe Macre and Rob Stevens.

Safety In Numbers is a music studio album recording by CRACK THE SKY (Heavy Prog/Progressive Rock) released in 1978 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. Only for completionists (0%).

Safety In Numbers is Umphrey's McGee's fourth studio album, released on April 4, 2006. Huey Lewis and Joshua Redman both make appearances. The album contains many slower, acoustic songs and a simpler, stripped down approach with little jamming or progressive rock elements. The album title comes from one of the lyrics in the ninth track "Passing". The artwork for the album was done by Storm Thorgerson.

A good example of this is the third studio album overall by Umphrey's McGee, Safety in Numbers. With more than half of the album's compositions not exceeding the five-minute mark (something that was virtually unheard of "back in the good old days" of jam bands), Safety in Numbers covers an impressive amount of musical ground. And you've got to love a band that invites Huey Lewis to lend his harmonica skills to the tracks "End of the Road" and "Women, Wine and Song" (the latter of which sees Lewis lend a hand in the vocal department, as well).

Fantastic album. The Galliano crew and fellow Demus, before deciding on stablishing in the Two Banks Of Four moniker, released this album for the IG Culture label, when they began to appear in lots of albums of the genre. Demus takes the director seat here to make a bunch of songs that sounds a lot more like Afronaught/IG than their previous acid jazz works, with a bit of the craziest experimentation they have in their most inspiring 2bo4 moments. After a gentle cover of Africa, Carleen Anderson and Valerie Etienne begin to shine in maybe their most inspired interpretations so far, taking the monikers of Mardou Fox and Jean Caramouce, and even Gallagher (Earl Zinger) himself gives back vocals and a bit more in most of the tracks. The sound is the most opaque variant of the genre, like the likwid biskit productions, but they manage to blend the vocals in a way that the final tracks sound like a prayer or a lament, very heartfelt. The rhytms are complex as ever, the approach to the Bugz people tricks is noticeable, and the highlights are many, ending with a kind of mad dance around the firing invoking spirits of lust that is "Moonblood". It's so good that many times I miss this approach when I listen to the cheesiest moments of Two Banks Of Four. Very recommended, and more than that if you have followed/liked either of the mentioned groups above.
