Sentenced were a special band and it was a shame that everything ended as it did, petering out in 2005 with their weakest album. The unique and magical ear for melody that Miika Tenkula had shown on 'Down' in 1996 is still present here, but the majority of the anger and bitterness. that made that album so energetic is gone here. The formula is fairly conventional and can be used to describe most of the songs on 'Crimson'.

Crimson (Sentenced album). Crimson, released in January 2000 on Century Media, is an album by the Finnish heavy metal band Sentenced. The album artwork was done by Niklas Sundin of Dark Tranquillity. Coincidentally, Dark Tranquillity recorded a cover version of the song, "Broken", released as a track on Century Media: Covering 20 Years of Extremes. Studio album by Sentenced.
