Compartments was a different album in Jose Feliciano career, released in 1973 was influenced by some artists of that time in pop soul and soft rock music, from Elton John to James Taylor or motown artists. This difference from previous Jose Feliciano albums was signed by the first co-production with Steve Cropper and the appareance of Bill Withers (who played here and co-write with Jose the fantastic song "compartments" with an incredible guitar work by Jose) but also with Leon Russel, Jim Messina, Jim Seals & Dash Crofts.
