Vaudeville Villain, the title and second track off of Vaudeville Villain by Viktor Vaughn. This track works as an introduction to the character, Viktor Vaughn, his name is derived from Dr. Doom’s (Marvel Comics) real name Victor Von Doom. Over the run time information is given about the central character to the narrative of the album. There is no hook/chorus so the info that VV is delivering is what is being focused on. "Vaudeville Villain" Track Info. Written By King Honey & MF DOOM. Executive Produced By MF DOOM, Nathaniel Gosman & Alex Threadgold.

Released under the alias Viktor Vaughn, the album follows a younger and more inexperienced villain in misadventures from time-traveling drug deals and black magic rituals to everyday muggings. All of which are backed by murky electronic beats that further empower the imagery DOOM’s writing.

Vaudville Villain is Viktor Vaughn at his best, with complex, wordy MCing and violent, low key, and drab instrumentation setting an altogether eerie mood with some oddball inconsistency taking away from absolute perfection. The album kicks off with the title track, with Viktor Vaughn’s possibly most energetic and awake flow ever mixed with a scrambling whirlwind of superhero samples, fuzzy guitars and a pounding drum track. Although on a more energetic level than most of the record, the dark mood continues throughout the record.

Vaudeville Villain's story-raps are just as brilliantly spun - the immaculate "Let Me Watch" features Apani B Fly guesting as Vaughn's vestal romantic foil and ends on a note that strikes just the right balance between Vaughn's comedic and sordid qualities. Grubby and excitable, the album's production is no less superb, with RJD2's "Saliva," Heat Sensor's "Never Dead," and King Honey's title track standing out as high points. Dense, bright, and packed with ideas, Vaudeville Villain is Dumile at his absolute best.

Viktor Vaughn - Vaudeville Villain Released: September 13, 2003 Record Length: 17 tracks, 56:42. Even though this isn’t technically an MF DOOM album, he still spits just as good as one of his regular records. He keeps the crazy and abstract rhyme schemes we all come to know and love. Viktor’s rhymes don’t differentiate from DOOM much, but it’s a good thing. The only thing that really changes is the topics and character that Viktor plays, which differs a bit from DOOM. Most of the songs just have one long verse, and he flows for days providing great punchlines and rhyme schemes that quite impressive. DOOM doesn’t miss a beat in the lyricism aspect on his other moniker’s album.
