With "Venomous Villain", Viktor Vaughn has won me over as the premiere personality I would like to hear from the man behind the metal mask on the mic. This record serves as a great follow up to "Vaudeville Villain". One just has to sit and vibe to this one, as DOOM spits his inane lyrics over the instrumentals and (refreshingly) record scratches on this short but sweet offering
Throughout the course of VV2, Vaughn drops a number of lines that express a general dissatisfaction with the album, confirming suspicions that he may have largely just passed this one off. The record's opening verse advises, "Dub it off your man, don't spend that 10 bucks/ I did it for the advance, the back end sucks. Similar telling sentiments pop up elsewhere: "Can't stand the beat, there's no sense bitchin'," and, "Coulda flipped it longer 'cept the beat was rather rinkydink" both speak to Vaughn's frustration
Summary: On of the many aliases of rapper Daniel Dumile (who is best known these days as the masked MF Doom), Viktor Vaughn is joined by a guests such as DJ Sure Shot and Kool Keith on this second release. Record Label: Insomniac. Genre(s): Indie, Rap.

Venomous Villain is the fourth studio album by British-American rapper/producer MF Doom. The second to be released under the alias Viktor Vaughn, it was released through Insomniac on August 3, 2004. It ranked at number 71 on Robert Christgau's "Pazz & Jop 2004" list.
This perfectly leads to the rest of the album, which is mostly dominated by instrumentals that drive and draw themselves into different, more interesting directions.
Vaudeville Villain is the third studio album by British-American rapper/producer MF Doom, released under the alias Viktor Vaughn on September 16, 2003. All of the tracks are produced by Sound-Ink record label members Heat Sensor, King Honey, and Max Bill, with the exception of "Saliva", produced by RJD2. Vaudeville Villain ranked at number 25 on Pitchfork's "Top 50 Albums of 2003" list. In 2012, it ranked at number 25 on Pigeons & Planes's "30 Best Underground Hip-Hop Albums" list.
