This was an odd re-release by Pete Drake originally released on Mercury. It was produced in both stereo and mono. The original release would have been about 1965. There is a nice redoing of "Pleading" here, along with a couple of other originals. There are no 'talking' steel tracks, (he's most commonly known for tunes like "Forever"), All are straight forward, showing the sweet versatility of Pete's contemporary country side. Overall an excellent production. The stereo copy has a clean background and is not tinny. Very nice. * * * *
