Description

George Fenton (born George Richard Ian Howe; 1949) is an English composer best known for his work writing film scores and music for television such as for the BBC series The Blue Planet and Planet Earth. George Fenton was born in 1949 in Bromley, Kent, one of five siblings.

The Company of Wolves is a 1984 British gothic fantasy horror film directed by Neil Jordan and starring Sarah Patterson, Angela Lansbury, Stephen Rea and David Warner. It was written by Angela Carter and Jordan. The film is based on the werewolf story of the same name in Angela Carter's 1979 short story collection The Bloody Chamber. Carter herself co-wrote the screenplay with Jordan, based on her own short story and her earlier adaptation of The Company of Wolves for radio. Angela Carter, author of the original short story "The Company of Wolves", worked with director Neil Jordan on the script for the film. This was Carter's first experience of writing for film. However, it was also only Jordan's second feature film as director. A soundtrack album, featuring the George Fenton score from the film, was released in 1985 on Varese Sarabande Records. Soundtrack Album: Side A
