Songbook is an acoustic live album by American musician and Soundgarden vocalist Chris Cornell, released on November 21, 2011. The live album features songs recorded during Cornell's Songbook Tour, an acoustic solo tour which took place from March to May 2011 in the US and Canada, and is his first live album as a solo artist.

Chris Cornell absolutely is one of the greatest vocalists of all time. Before Songbook tour, he had been constantly criticized for his unstable vocal performances. I believe that the critics were somewhat right for the Audioslave era in which Chris also admitted that he had problems with alcohol and smoking that could have affected his vocal ability during that time The Old Chris is back. I watched one of the tours last May in Seattle, and his vocal performance was a way beyond my expectation  . Anyway, just one unofficial acoustic album- Unplugged In Sweden - was not adequate for a great acoustic live performer like Chris; fans certainly want more. I thought that recording an album in that style was a good idea. But it wasn’t what I ended up doing on Euphoria Morning. So, in the back of my mind, it was a promise to fans and myself that I wanted to make good on. Cornell turned his vow into a reality in 2011 when he embarked on an extensive 25-date acoustic tour of the US and Canada during that year’s spring and early summer
