Death Cult Armageddon is the sixth studio album by Norwegian symphonic black metal band Dimmu Borgir, released on 9 September 2003. It has since sold over 100,000 copies in the United States; the first album under Nuclear Blast to do so; and debuted on the Billboard 200 chart at number 169. The song "Progenies of the Great Apocalypse" is released as single with accompanying music video. Parts of the album were recorded with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.

There was something more primal and evil about this than anything Cradle of Filth, Metallica or any death metal bands I had previously listened to before could ever have achieved. Brutal drum-beats, chugging tremolo-picked power-chords, epic keyboard orchestrations and growling vocals from the pit of Hell really created the depth and darkness of the song

First of all, I need to say that I was very skeptical about how these guys can reach a higher level than their previous work, the supreme: ´´Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia´´ without underrate any work from Dimmu Borgir. But, after listen to their promotional single: Progenies of the Great Apocalypse, I just knew this record would be a very special thing. After listen to the whole album I was speechless.
