You could mention your lack of confidence as a weakness in an interview, but there are other alternatives that might put you in a better standing with a hiring manager. You might say, "I sometimes lack confidence but have discovered that taking calculated risks often pays off," or "I used to lack confidence when I was assigned new projects, but now I see them as valuable opportunities. Other responses to a weakness-oriented interview question might be better than explaining your lack of confidence.

I wish things were different, but this is the way they are. We wish we had enough money to help you. I wish I could be there for you tomorrow. We can use wish + subject + past perfect to talk about things that happened in the past and that we regret (we would have wanted them to be different). We can use if only instead of I wish with a very similar meaning. The only difference is that if only is more emphatic. If only I was/were a bit taller! If only you had followed my advice. If only you would make a bit of an effort. You are wasting your life! Note that we can use were instead of was with I/he/she after I wish/if only.

I wish I could + (verb). Listen to the Entire Lesson. You are expressing a desire to do something. Here are some examples: "I wish I could sing better. I wish I could settle the argument. I wish I could sail around the world. I wish I could remain calm during all of this. I wish I could remember his name. I wish I could replace my old car with a new on. "I wish I could play outside. I wish I could go to the game with yo. "I wish I could write better.

I I just wanna feel like I could fly Give me anything that gets me high I need you in my life cause Shit's gonna cave in soon Why? Why you gotta say that I'm lyin I swear to fuckin God I'm doin fine The power's all mine but Shit's gonna cave in soon
