Swoon, the debut from this Irish indie quartet, is simply impossible to not like instantly for all but the hardcore jaded out there. A dozen tracks in all and the album breezes by effortlessly, over before you realize it. With their first outing the band has managed to come up with something comfortingly familiar, yet still wholly original.

On their debut album, Swoon, the gals and guy of Dott play a brand of pleasantly upbeat, politely noisy indie pop that will appeal to anyone who misses the glory days of bands like the Popguns and the Darling Buds who were successful with the same basic formula.
