Scarlet Anger is a Luxembourgish Thrash Metal band, founded in 2007 by vocalist Joe Block and guitarist Fred Molitor. Their first gigs were followed quite quickly by the release of a first EP, called La Realidad Es Trist. whose successor „ Kill The King made the band noticeable on an international level for the first time. Being more aggressive and fast than its predecessor, „Kill The King didn’t just earn a lot of critical acclaim but also gained the attention of the German label Dust On The Tracks. And that’s exactly the cue: Scarlet Anger play, just like Annihilator, old school thrash metal the way it was popular between 1985 and 1995, and this genre hasn’t lost any of its initial charm. Other influences might be Slayer, Kreator and Metal Church, which speaks for the undeniable quality of the band. The songs are well thought through and convince with the right dose of brutality. There’s also plenty of pace changes, as Scarlet Anger are not afraid to allow for some quieter and melodic moments.

Scarlet Anger´s musical forefathers definitely did not originate from Europe. The band is aligned to the glorious sound of the old Bay Area heroes. The musicians transport the original approach of more or less legendary bands such as Testament or Forbidden into the now and here. But if you still like to listen from time to time to the debut of these Canadians, you surely will enjoy "Dark Reign", too. The target group of the album is clearly defined, now it´s up to you.
