Z is the fourth studio album by psychedelic rock band My Morning Jacket. The heavy reverb that was a defining characteristic of the band's prior recordings is largely absent. The songs on the album are more focused and shorter compared to the band's previous albums.

At Dawn is full of the same strumming acoustic guitar, hauntingly treated vocals, elements of country and blues, and everything else that made The Tennessee Fire a magnificent country, rock, and Americana stew. My Morning Jacket is an American rock band formed in Louisville, Kentucky in 1998. The band currently consists of vocalist/guitarist Jim James, bassist Tom Blankenship, drummer Patrick Hallahan, guitarist Carl Broemel, and keyboardist Bo Koster. The band's sound, rooted in rock and country, is often experimental and psychedelic. The group amassed a following beginning in the 2000s in part due to their live performances.

LP (12" album, 33 rpm). My Morning Jacket Format: Vinyl. The albums received were completely different. It has now been 10 years since My Morning Jacket has released At Dawn and it is more of a masterpiece now then ever before. My first recommendation to people who have never heard this album is to skip right to track number 3. "The way he sings" may be the song that made me fall in love with MMJ. Clocking in at almost 75 minutes long this album soars from beginning to end. If it is possible to pick out highlights in this album it would have to be the track already mentioned, XMAS curtain, Bermuda Highway, and Phone Went West.
