Promo documentary about the making of the album Elemental, the first Tears for Fears-album without Curt Smith.
The English pop rock band Tears for Fears have released six studio albums, along with numerous singles, compilations and videos. Formed in 1981 by Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith, the duo signed to Phonogram Records in the UK and released their first single the same year. It was not until Tears for Fears' third single, "Mad World" (1982), that they scored their first hit, and their platinum-selling debut album The Hurting (1983) was a UK number one.
In 2000, the pair reestablished contact and started working together again on new material. A new album, 'Everybody Loves A Happy Ending', was released in 2004. Вебсайты: tearsforfears.

Elemental is the fourth album by the British pop band Tears for Fears. It was released on 7 June 1993 and includes the hit single "Break It Down Again". The album peaked at No. 5 in the UK and No. 45 in the US. It also reached the Top 10 in France and Italy, the Top 20 in Canada and the Top 30 in several European countries. It has been certified Silver in the UK, and Gold in the US and France. However, despite being released under the Tears for Fears moniker, it was essentially a solo effort by Roland Orzabal as Curt Smith had left the band by this time. For much of the writing and recording, Orzabal was assisted by Alan Griffiths, who had been a session musician for Tears For Fears' world tour in 1985, and Tim Palmer who was brought in as producer for the project. It was recorded at Orzabal's newly built home studio, Neptune's Kitchen, which was mentioned in the song "Fish Out of Water".
Tears for Fears, named after a phrase found in Arthur Janov's book Prisoners of Pain, is a British pop/rock outfit formed in 1981 in Bath, England. Founder members Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith had been friends since their early teens and had already been in the shortlived ska band Graduate.
Late last year, Tears For Fears released I Love You But I’m Lost, their first new song in 13 years. Even more new music from the band is on the way, as the new wave veterans have revealed plans to release their first studio album in 14 years. According to a statement, Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith are currently finishing the album with an aim to release it in the fall. Dates have been rescheduled for early 2019. It was not until Tears for Fears' third single, "Mad World", that they scored their first hit, and their platinum-selling debut album The Hurting was a UK number one.
