The Quireboys are an English hard rock band formed in 1984 in London, with strong ties to Newcastle. When the band formed they were originally known as The Queerboys and later as the London Quireboys in the United States and Canada, settling at last with their current name. The band were successful during the late 1980s and early 1990s, with their debut album A Bit of What You Fancy reaching No. 2 on the UK charts. Their highest charting single was with the song "Hey You".
Hey You" is a song by the UK band The Quireboys, who were popular in the late 1980s to early 1990s. Their first two singles only managed low chart positions. Hey You" was the band's highest charting song, peaking at in 1989. After that, the band managed to get most of their singles into the Top 40, except for "Tramps & Thieves" in 1992, which missed it just by one place. Hey You" is considered the band's signature song.
The Quireboys are certainly enjoying a revival – selling out venues around the world – with 2018 also taking in The Monsters of Rock Cruise, HRH AOR VI, Sweden Rock and Stonedeaf festivals.

Best of the Quireboys 2008. A Bit of What You Fancy 1990. In 1993, the Quireboys finally released Bitter Sweet & Twisted - their sophomore effort. Produced by producer du jour Bob Rock, the album featured 14 tracks that, for the most, part lacked the songwriting craft of the band's debut. Originally intended as a double album, many leftovers exist and remain in the vaults from these Bob Rock sessions. Having had the wind sucked out of them, the band disbanded after a bout of European touring. Post breakup, 1994 saw the release of From Tooting to Barking - a Castle Communications collection of primitive Queerboys demos.
