Description

These two mid-seventies Brubeck Family albums (Dave and sons, along with Jerry Bergonzi and Peter 'Madcat' Ruth) were combined, for a brief time, on to a single cassette tape.

To hear such numbers as "Three to Get Ready," "Blue Rondo à la Turk" and "Unsquare Dance" (along with some newer pieces) performed by these younger players casts new light on the durability and flexibility of these classic Brubeck songs.

Dave Brubeck Format: Vinyl. I first heard this album at its original release. I'd been familiar with Brubeck from his earlier performances, but was completely unprepared for this. If you're already a Brubeck fan, you'll love the incredible performance of Blue Rondo a la Turk: electric violin and a rocking harmonica solo. Brubeck's in fine form as well. I first heard "Two Generations" over 25 years ago, on LP. I managed to find it also on cassette, but, I never thought I would be able to find this excellent, musical masterpiece, on CD. It features the legendary, Dave Brubeck, and his three sons, Chris, Darius, and Danny Brubeck. Combining jazz, with rock and blues, this CD is unique, in every sence of the word.
