After the long years of cult-hero status, Rastaman Vibration brought Bob Marley and the Wailers chart success at last. Released on 30 April 1976 it became the band’s first, and indeed only album to reach the US Top 10 (apart from the posthumous compilation, Legend) and made similar inroads into the UK chart, where it reached N. 5. And yet for all its commercial appeal and philosophical vigour, Rastaman Vibration was an album that delivered surprisingly few Marley classics and which got squeezed, creatively speaking, between the monumental achievements of Live! (1975) and Exodus (1977).

Rastaman Vibration, Island ILPS 9383, was originally released April 30, 1976. Track 11 originally issued as Island single (WIP 6265), released January 1976. Track 9: "Speech by . Haile Selassie I, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, The Conquering Lion of The Tribe of Judah. California 28th February 1968. Track 6 is titled "Crazy Bald Head" in booklet, "Crazy Baldhead" on back cover. Reissue supervised with special thanks to the Marley Family and Chris Blackwell. Rastaman Vibration is a reggae album by Bob Marley that was released on April 30, 1976. This is the last album the group recorded under the title The Wailers. The first recorded with the I-Threes, a female vocal trio that included Bob’s wife Rita Marley, along with Marcia Griffiths and Judy Mowatt and Also, recorded with Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer.
