Freedom of Choice is the third studio album by the American new wave band Devo. It was originally released in May 1980 on the label Warner Bros. The album contained their biggest hit to date, "Whip It". Freedom of Choice was recorded between October 1979 and early 1980, at the Record Plant in Hollywood, California. The album saw the band moving in more of an overt synthpop direction, even though guitars still played a prominent role.

DEVO Live 1980 is a DualDisc release (and technically, the fourth DVD release) by pioneering new wave band Devo. The release documents a performance by the influential quintet during their Freedom of Choice tour, when the band was gaining mainstream success on the strength of the Freedom of Choice album and their first major hit single "Whip It". It was shot by director/cameraman Joe Reis and his Target Video team in Petaluma, California, using three video cameras.

Not only is it a complete live show from a really awesome era of DEVO's career (the Freedom Of Choice tour), but it features footage of the lost "Tunnel Of Life" film, which I never, ever thought I'd get to see. AND it's a dual-disc, including both CD audio of most of the show as well as the full DVD.
