Present Tense is the fourth studio album by Wild Beasts, released 24 February 2014 on Domino Recording Company. It was preceded by the single "Wanderlust" released on the same day. Following a two-year-long world tour in promotion of their third album Smother, the band admitted to feelings of burn out by the experience and in late 2012 announced that they would take a year off from touring to concentrate on writing and recording the follow-up.

Considering that the volume probably changed hands numerous times over the centuries and was re-bound in the 19th century, its relatively intact survival is itself something of a minor miracle. It’s a binding of the late 19th century, confirms Borchert. Where it happened, who did it, and what happened to the leaves that were presumably removed at that point, we don’t have any idea. And then there are the beasts: Especially captivating is the Tiber monster, an anti-Catholic symbol favored by Martin Luther himself, consisting of the torso of a woman, the head of an ass, a cloven hoof in the place of its right foot, a claw on its left, and so on. Helpfully, the authors provide two examples of sources for the creature (see images above), engaging in a kind of artistic forensics using data that’s almost 500 years old.

With their debut album, Mercator Projected, East Of Eden approached a unique territory that could be described as a crossover of psychedelic rock and world music. One year after the work, the group started recording Snafu, an album that many years later is considered their best work. The music on Snafu is nearly unclassifiable. East of Eden in the very same manner didn't achieve heavy popularity with their releases either, but was significantly more successful. David Arbus brings a whole new spin on it however, combining the intricate stylings of Darryl Way (Curved Air) and the moving wind instrumentation similar to the soundscapes created by Chris Wood (Traffic). It is very playful and it's apparent that good times were being had by all involved in its creation. It has many of the elements of progressive music that would be expanded upon and refined in the 70s.

They represent the savage beasts who kill and eat anything and everything. The allegory is not readily apparent and its payoff is understated at best. This description sounds starkly bleak, which the subject matter surely is, but the film is very well put together. If there is a party, the audience intuitively understands it is fun. Does the camera have to wildly spin around as well? When someone is running, must the camera bounce up and down too? See Beasts of the Southern Wild for the story, the locations, and the child actor.

Apocalypse, Revelation, the End Times, the Second Coming. Uses of the Garden of Eden in literature. Because of the story of Adam and Eve, beautiful gardens have become symbols of a paradise-like existence, free from sin. Many literary texts draw on the story of the Garden of Eden. Milton's Paradise Lost. Milton's work is an epic poem which is also a complete re-telling of the story of the Fall of Humankind and the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden. Milton's declared aim was to ‘justify the ways of God to man'. Shakespeare's Hamlet. In The Spire, Golding also uses images of the Garden of Eden. Jocelin, as he lies dying, being tended by Father Adam, has a vision of the apple tree.

Marking the end of a 405-day gap between EDEN releases aside from features, and of course, the now infamous leak of a work-in-progress version of ‘start//end’ in January 2017. The second single, ‘gold’, was given out as part of a scavenger hunt on November 8th, 2017 before being released officially on the 10th of the same month. The album was finally released on the 19th of January 2018. With release of the album, EDEN took part in three live-streams. One for Suicide Sheep that can be found here, one for Koala Kontrol that can be found here and one for Chill Nation which can be found here. The image shows song names like War, Snow, Monster, dead//alive, bruises/fml and more. What is the meaning behind the "//" in some of the songs?
