Tim Maia (Brazilian Portuguese:, born Sebastião Rodrigues Maia; September 28, 1942 – March 15, 1998) was a Brazilian musician, songwriter and businessman known for his iconoclastic, ironic, outspoken, and humorous musical style. Maia contributed to Brazilian music within a wide variety of musical genres, including soul, funk, bossa nova, disco, romantic ballads, pop, rock, jazz, baião and MPB. He introduced the soul style on the Brazilian musical scene.

Hi, I purchased the record 23€ on the 25.03.2019. - Tim Maia Racional vol 1 - Released 2019 - Country: Japan It took me 5 sec to notify the extreme bad quality of this press !! for comparison the 320kbps MP3 sound way better! With this version you loose all the grove, the bright, the deep bass of the great Tim Maia!

i havent actually listened to this despite being aware of it for a few a years.always drawn by the sleeve art and its referencing of platonic philosophy, the rational (natural) mind and the cycle of generation. i am intrigued if this is expressed through the music, if this is the case it would be a very profound recording

people complain about digital music, and praise vinyl over CD, but then buy a bootleg which was pressed using mp3s as source? not worth the price they ask for it

I have no problem with bootlegs but there is no reason to be so greedy with prices. Why not press alot of them and sell them for a reasonable amount? It is a nice looking release but I am not paying that price tag. The best songs on this record are on the Tim Maia comp that Luaka Bop put out recently. Save your money and just get that release.

I bought a copy here in Brazil.Poor audio quality and the worst edition ever released and detail was not released in japan but in brazil. repress Japanese are wonderful.

Don't be fooled, this is a brazilian bootleg and not an official japanese repress, you won't see any japanese inserts or OBI with this release, I have seen them posting this record on facebook and I know who's behind it

if you like mp3s maybe yes, its very likely that they ordered it online from some vinyl pressing service and sent the songs on mp3 format for making this record
