Night Time is the fifth studio album by English post-punk band Killing Joke. It was released in February 1985 through . Night Time was released in late February 1985 by record label . It was an international hit, reaching number 11 in the United Kingdom in its first week on 9 March, number 8 in New Zealand and number 50 in Sweden. The album was remastered and reissued in 2008, with nine bonus tracks.

A Hard Day's Night became their first album to consist solely of original material, and was The Beatles only release to consist solely of songs written by Lennon-McCartney. The title of A Hard Day's Night had been coined by Ringo Starr, and first appeared in John Lennon's short story Sad Michael in his first book In His Own Write. When film director Richard Lester announced it would be the title of The Beatles' first film, Lennon took up the challenge to write the theme song. I have one of the A Hard Day’s Night LPs released in the Soviet Union in 1986. One song, When I Get Home, was omitted because the Soviet Union government deemed the sexual connotations too strong for public release at that time.

The phrase "A hard day's night" was used by John Lennon in his book "In His Own Write" in the short story "Sad Michael". Another origin of the phrase was Ringo Starr who said it after a long working day which went on to the night. Starr said in an interview in 1964, "I came up still thinking it was day I suppose, and I said, 'It's been a hard day-' and I looked around and saw it was dark so I said, 'Night!' So we came to 'A Hard Day's Night'.
