Hellfire is the third studio album by Norwegian black metal band 1349. It was released on May 24, 2005 through Candlelight Records. A music video was produced for the track "Sculptor of Flesh". The video, directed by Judd Tilyard, alternates between footage of the band performing the song in Norway and clips of surgery filmed in Australia. The closing track on the album 'Hellfire' was intentionally recorded at 13:49 in length to spell out the band name. I Am Abomination" – 4:09.
Within this full length album, the German jesters from Hesse don't only bring along their well-known mixture of fresh and funny Power Metal combined with bombast and catchy choruses, but also a new heavier facet: Groovy rhythms, harder riffs and a slightly dirty rock touch characterize "Hellfire Club" and those alterations just fit greatly to the band's concept of making. EDGUY being also friends of symphonic elements, they additionally engaged the Film Orchestra Babelsberg to provide the songs not only with metallic strength but also classical feeling and power. First euphoric press reactions regarding "Hellfire Club" already pointed out the undeniable fact: With this album, EDGUY surpassed themselves once again. No matter if you take the melodic heavy-smasher 'Mysteria', the riff-monster 'Under The Moon" or the happy 'Lavatory Love Machine', there's simply no blackout on this album.

The God of Hell FireMaker of Operatic Psychedelic SoundsMusic Aficionado. Arthur Brown is an English rock singer and songwriter best known for his flamboyant theatrical performances, and his powerful, wide-ranging operatic voice. Following the success of the single Fire, the press would often refer to Brown as The God of Hellfire, in reference to the opening shouted line of the song, a moniker that exists to this day. The Crazy World of Arthur Brown. This cannot be said of the Fire album. This is very strange, because the statistics made it a far more significant recording at the time. Depending on which charts you favour, it was simultaneously listed at No. 1 in the album and singles charts on both sides of the Atlantic.
